Bobbi Kristina, I'm sorry.
I, along with the rest of the world watched as your flame flickered and burnt out.
Very similarly to how we watched your mother's own flame extinguish,
though it didn't take nearly as long.
We all made light of your family drama; laughing at your parent's struggles with addiction.
Whitney and Bobby became
punchlines instead of people,
With you, an unwilling participant in the joke.
Not realizing that a young girl sat in the middle of the chaos and confusion.
Not knowing that soon, you would suffer the same fate.
I remember that young girl, shyly singing with her mother on stage.
What happened to her?
We did nothing to make easier.
It's strange, even though I didn't know you,
I feel like I did. Because I loved your mother.
Subsequently, a small piece of me feels like a family member has passed on.
So today, as you are rejoined in the arms of your mother, in our Father's kingdom.
Please accept this apology.
Your fame took away our empathy for you,
and that was wrong.
Rest well, angel.
